Been a busy week with the fair in town. Just now trying to catch up, and you've probably got this done already.
I just cut them on 45's. If you cope them, you're still welding on the same horizontal and vertical planes as a 45, you just put more work into fitting your joints. It's not going to make any difference on strength.
