You shouldn't need any technician to accomplish that result. EBay should work just fine for 100 bucks or less Assuming it's not a freightliner Cascadia in which case you would probably have to spend a little bit to get it working. 20 bucks for a bracket 20 bucks for a stainless steel whip Another 20 bucks for a piece of cable and you should be ready to rock and roll.Diesel Dave Thanks this.

He’s got overhead. He runs specials. Up to 5 miles, $500. Up to 10 miles? $999. That video I made talking 150 miles to my friend on his base station, I took out a low interest loan.

I think most drivers are perfectly happy being able to talk to somebody 15 miles away, And there's absolutely no reason they can't do that with a stock Cobra 29.
I often hear those Cobra 29's from 30 miles away. It's kind of hard to beat 30 miles for 80 bucks. That works out to $2.66 a mile. -
I almost blew my coffee on the screen when I read this. LOL!
He no doubt has all the equipment to get it done. What he don't have is the time to save the rest of the world from the wicked evil hack and jack CB shops.
-
Are you talking about down the interstate possibly bouncing off other truck antennas?
Out in the boon docks mobile to mobile I've never seen a non hacked Cobra get out like that.
I heard the CB shop run a come and see me commercial 17 miles away on a Galxy 98 a couple months back. I was -
Wow! Here is a bare foot Cobra 29 done by Finetune getting out 45 miles.
Maybe you guys are on to something with these Cobra 29's.
I would never have believed this. Skip to 32:36 if you like it takes them a minute to get 45 miles apart. LOL!
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
You've never had a radio that can hear signals as weak as the ones that my receiver is capable of detecting. There's nothing magical going on except in my receiver.
Have you ever heard of a voice activated digital voice recorder? When it hears silence it stops recording. There's no way he traveled that distance in one minute. It would have been much more boring to listen to if you had to listen to 15 minutes worth of silence as he dropped down into valleys On the opposit side of mountains. -
What? That video is 34 minutes long man.
If you skip to 32:36 you can hear them approaching 45 miles.
Finetune also has a Stryker 955 like mine talking 74 miles apart mobile to mobile .
He's talking to an Anytone AT6666. Mine won't do it because it hasn't been graced by finetune's magical touch. I can't afford finetune nor wait long enough to fool with him so......
I owe I owe its off to work I go.
