Nab Dabit! My load from Oregon got canceled, the one I was suppose to go swap with another driver in Iowa then go home with it. Now they got me doing a local run delivering at midnight. Oh well!! All is good we'll see what tomorrow brings.

    Truck on!

Ship ex is one of the companies I would look seriously at if I was to go back over the road. I’m in a more regional position now. The ‘one day off per week out’ just bothers me though... if I’m out a month, I want the latitude to take off 5-7 days... but to throttle me at 4 days is a deal breaker... especially when I make the same money to be home every weekend...

Well, Just so happens I been getting a lot of home time this month. Last week I Dropped my wife off at home and the load i was on got rescheduled so ended up sticking around my house a day & 1/2.
Previously i wrote about a load from Oregon and then back to Vegas to get me home for the 6th. That got cancelled and I'm now on a load back to Apple valley and will be there this afternoon and it won't deliver until tomorrow so I get to hang at home this afternoon and overnight waiting to deliver.
Then heading back to Salt Lake and hopefully back to Apple valley for my Original scheduled time off. Whew ! These holiday weekends get screwy sometimes. However I'm not complaining because i scored about 2+ days of home time out of it without using my earned time off. :D

Back to work! They swapped me on a load going back home as i was heading to Salt Lake city last week.
Had a great mini vacation weekend on the Colorado river with family and friends. Took off 4 days ..with pay of course.. just having fun chilling and playing. Awesome!! Now back to work. They got me on a load going to Salt Lake and then heading to Arkansas.

So I guess your not taxed on 305 a week? Have to claim that at tax time I suppose.

No, it’s per diem, it’s tax free.

    Lonesome and Bumper Thank this.

Maybe I am wrong but since its tax free dont you have to pay tax on that and claim it a tax time?

    atruckr Thanks this.
