Where is everyone #5

I hate the cold. It got down to 5°C a few nights ago and the shop got down to 15°C because the heat was off. I jokingly asked if we could get field pay.

After 9 winters of -35°C every day my body just can't take it anymore. When I'm done up here I'm going somewhere warm. Like back to the Okanagan lol.

 

There was a farm tractor parade that went across the bridge last weekend I believe

 

If you stop and Stone's Grainery restaurant and fancy yourself a BBQ brisket melt, do yourself a favour and get yourself one.


Not only was the sandwich great (fried onions, cheese and BBQ sauce on the side for dipping) but the brisket was to die for. Some of the best I've had since I was down near St. Louis spring 2018and Alma, TX June 2018.

I was expecting okay brisket for the middle of South Dakota, but nothing like this.

Seems like they come in all sorts of axle configurations. Mostly all single wide base tires.

Once winter sets in, I'm going to ask for more AZ, NM, TX, LA trips. I've been in Manitoba my whole 32 years, and I'm just about done with the cold too.

My only problem is we have too much family here to just get up and leave.

 

So what's the difference in an a train and a b train

 

My family is so spread out these days it doesn't really matter where I move. I could see myself moving to around Steinbach or St Malo one day. Love it out there. Plus I've heard Big Freight pays mechanics pretty good.

 

Even Morris wouldn't be horrible.

 

How about UNpermitted over height loads
