Which state do you live in?
Need to know the hiring area you live in for various companies.
When you apply for a job, companies go by the address on your cdl.

Look into the CR England lease program.

(This is sarcasm, definitely don't do that.)

Does said O/P 'have' CDL, or need a training school?

What type of freight does O/P care to haul?

    Okay, that's my input. On you, @Chinatown ... ;)

Local school, then? Gives you more options, IMHO. Thanks for reply. The more info you share, the more help you'll get. @Chinatown is our go'to guy.

In my humble opinion, Werner is great.

Both my wife and I hired to Werner after school and had a very good experience. I actually stayed on with them long enough to become a trainer and they sold me a truck, that I still drive, with $500 down.

They will do everything "corporately" possible to get you driving. By saying that, I mean that they will get you trained as long as you remain profitable and, the bottom line is, if you're not profitable for them, you won't be for anyone else and you won't make it as a truck driver.

No judgement, it's just that a lot of people who THINK they want to be a truck driver, don't actually want to be one. In the words of the great Forrest Gump,"Trucking is like a box of chocolates. It may look pretty sweet at first but, mostly... it's just schidt."

Just watch for the 'Dollar accounts' they like to 'award' to newbies, O/P.
