My best friend of 20 years was in town yesterday so we have a couple drinks last night. Ok spent $100 at the bar but it was so fun! Today not so fun.............lololololol 1bad can drink all he wants today but I think I'm over it for awhile now! Forgot I haven't drank in a long while so I think 6 long island teas was a bit much on top of the shots!

Jess, I say me and you against these silly boys we got and show them how to really drive! I got $500 on me any other takers!

How bout we meet in the middle?

 

I was with my partner riding in his truck for 30 days... quite an experience, and I learned to appreciate what he does and how much coming home means to him. He was wanting me to become a team driver with him, which I considered seriously except for one thing. It seemed as though they were barely giving him the miles he needed to keep up his truck payments. He was getting worried that this might be a sign of the economic times, but wasn't sure. I would love to ride with him, but if this is a wide spread issue with the lack of good loads, then maybe it wouldn't be a good thing to do. He would be given loads to pick up with long dead heads - 400 or 600 miles, or he would be given short ones with lots of time on them. Is anyone else sharing the same issues? It would be nice to hear some comments not just because of me, but for his own sanity as well.

 

JJ, well I'll be ######. Am presently in Grand Island, NE heading to Denver myself. Will also be there tomorrow. Want to tick Jess off and set up a meeting? hehehehehe Have an 0430 delievery at Sysco on the 6th. Heck!!!! I don't even know how to get there and no drivers directions either. Hope my GPS is good cause pulling up google maps somehow involves a uturn. Been there, done that, got the tshirt, won't say how much it cost. lol

qwkmouse, Don't know what to tell you about the miles. Seems to depend on the company, the driver manager (or whatever their called where he works at), what he pulls etc. I've got a new DM in my company who is new to the business, and is not jaded about it yet. He seems to be looking out for his fleet and know he is looking out for me!!! HE ROCKS!!!!! Made sure I told him that too.

ibad-am doing my own version of the 12 oz curls at the moment. Probably won't drink quite as much as you since i got up at 0200 and am on the tired side at the moment.

Did I mention my DM rocks? I sent in my 001 (load commitment) for this load and #### if he didn't send me a preplan. Will be heading towards where Brinkman is at after I drop. I just love Holcomb, KS. (please note sarcasm)
