Here is what is going on. D13 with I-shift 560K miles.
When backing up uphill on Low revers (R1) truck started to jerk, like someone pushes and releases Clutch pedal, when you manually switch to R2 (high) everything back to normal.
Checked for Oil leaks, air supply etc.. no warning signs. Truck drives forward just fine.
couple of days later , same problem with Revers, but on a flat surface, still drives fine when on forward, including loaded and uphill, but in a few days same thing start to happening with forward gears, especially under the load uphill, so had to drop the trailer and bobtail it home, still same jerking /not shifting to the lower gears properly. Mechanic even without looking said "you need a new transmission" Any experience with something like this?

Soumds to me like the clutch is slipping. Take it to a Volvo dealer and tell them what its doing.... I almost bet it just needs a new clutch.
-
It could be a need for a new clutch, or could be a transmission issue, maybe a spicket bearing, and that ain't a cheap repair. Get it checked out and make sure you get a second opinion
-
I diagnose those all the time at work. The spigot bearing has failed. It's the bearing inside the transmission on the back of the input shaft. You can replace the spigot bearing but its expensive. Cheaper to replace the transmission with a Short. Make sure you replace the clutch and the clutch cylinder while transmission is out.

Might be something wrong with the clutch or clutch cylinder. Need to take it to a dealership to get checked.

i went to shop today they got hundreds of several inactive faulty code but nothing active. they delete all inactive codes. finally i start test driving with mechanic and connected computer after one hour of driving road test we couldn’t find any codes, i was told by mechanic they are going to start my truck by monday morning and let it running (ideling) until afternoon to get hot whole system and then we will start driving again to see what’s going on. because my truck starts problem by afternoon not in morning.
