Schwerman Trucking?

3 different Schwerman drivers told you company closing?
OR
3 different drivers told you that Schwerman is closing?
We might have closing down a terminal I can believe in that, but cease operation , doesn't sound right

 

You didn't break any rules and the thread is still open.

With all the company closings and mergers lately a lot of drivers are jumpy. I don't blame them. Companies seldom tell drivers before a closing.

 

What the point telling driver on FRIDAY , when he is home, to pick up a load on Monday , if company shutting down?

 

I don't know. How's that for an answer? A lot of times a company will honor hauling agreements with customers up to and including the day they shut down.
Like I said, I hope your company is alright but the way things have been going this year I think I'd be networking with other drivers and updating my resume.

 

Sometimes they just close one terminal. In my case, I understand the terminal/contract was sold to Quality Carriers. There's also a Rogers Cartage terminal in Chattanooga, but havent' heard anything about it being closed. Schwerman and Rogers are divisions of Tankstar.

 

Ok about 1st guy, if it was a week or so ago, and you picked him up from Toledo, I have a bad news for you , cause I know a reason why we let him go.
What area another 2 guys was from ?
