Western Express will hire you and if you dont refuse loads you can make a living..
Not get rich, but you will get the chance you are looking for.
Stay away from their Lease pitch and also the Trainer offers.
With your history you shouldn't be training anyone anyway..
Slow down and keep the space around you.. You aren't going to get any further by doing 70 in a 65, not to mention all the braking and re acceleration is killing your MPG..
Good luck driver..
If you get back out here remember that license is a privilege and also yout meal ticket for yoy and your family..
If you was a mechanic would you leave your tools in the rain and all over in the dirt?
Just a thought hand...
Need a 2nd chance

Western Express would probably give him a look. All I know about Western is out of the west coast yard. I had a great time and made some good money as a trainer.
Nashville and Bethlehem, Pa I don’t know much.
@Jayjay31 first of all slow down. Just realize that second chance doesn’t mean you’ll learn second rate stuff or that you won’t make money. It’s all about your attitude and professionalism. Slide and take the easy way and that’s what you’ll learn. Listen to the more experienced drivers on here and you’ll be on the right path. You can do well driving truck, of course that will all end when Skynet becomes self aware and the machines destroy us...but until then it can be good.
Edit: more experienced then me is what I meant. I’m an idiot and still new.Last edited: Sep 14, 2019

Funny how a ticket a year is terrible since the cdl was invented, when we would get more than one in a good day before that. lol
x1Heavy and THEONEANDONLYMADDOG Thank this. -
find a roofer company to drive for. seems your dmv will fit in

I think the OP is stating these infractions occurred before the actual grant of his CDL
Every company has different policies in which their insurance dictates the requirements.
Get in the door somewhere and stick to getting your experience and get your mvr back polished and then apply to a good local outfit..
Remember that you make what you deal with..
Sometimes an attitude and poor thinking can cause a bad experience for each his own..
Ive been there and found my attitude caused me much grief.x1Heavy and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -

I got turned down from North American Van Lines back in 1986 for having too many speeding tickets..So I started a roofing company.
After 30 years of that and 30 years without a speeding ticket I finally got my CDL- 3 years ago..
Definitely made more roofing I have to admit.x1Heavy, FlaSwampRat, NavigatorWife and 1 other person Thank this. -
You still in your 20's maybe? like that leadfoot a bit much perhaps? You would be bored speed wise in trucking. But you will be relatively safe.
And you wont believe where the bears be at looking to entrap you with yet another ticket. I don't mind paying them. Sometimes Paid before trooper put away the traffic stop and never showed on my MVR thankgoodness.
