This is what can happen when foreign drivers are hired. Can't even read or speak english.
x1Heavy Thanks this. -
Fourteen feet, 5 inches. Only tied down at two corners. Spoke through an interpreter. Sucks.

And when does the trucking company take the blame for hiring a driver that doesn't speak English?

The state that issued him a CDL should face some serious legal repercussions.

Illinois has a large mid-European population. I found a lot of them had CDLs and owned tractors with 'corporations' granted by the state of Illinois. The carrier hired independents and paid the 'truck' and since the state had issued corporation papers they always had a TIN number making their 2290 legal but their SSN was usually bogus...
The state is that hungry for fees, etc. -
...and now this clown and his brother OWN Advance Transportation out of Bridgeview, IL. This Russian-Mafioso enterprise is crooked, they are thieves. My bank had to go after them for fraud.

I don't care for the typical Chicago talk.
The one thing that I think many people does not know is that even foreign nationals seeking a American CDL A for trucking has to know enough English to comprehend signs of all kinds and certain other placarding such as Hazmat diamonds etc. Usually when they pick up that much written english to read, they learn to speak it as well.
I suspect the interpreter is a form of defense in Court, it essentially makes the prosecutor break up the tempo of cross examination and buys the person time to think it through while the languages are being converted.
If they were that bad in English to need translating and hold a American CDL A then the state failed us as a Society when it chose to issue it to this person. They should be sued as well. -
Only if they get their CDL legally!
x1Heavy Thanks this. -
On the subject of the government failing "us as a society". Just in recent months, I have written letters, made phone calls and had personal discussions with the state and feds concerning a few drivers with a certain company. Even after a major accident, not one thing has been done. Only one state DOT officer even took the time to investigate my accusations and he did find evidence that my concerns were credible but he did not have the authority to pursue it . So as it stands now, everything has been "swept under the rug".
This crap of getting involved is just that, CRAP! If it causes someone to put forth a little effort and work a little overtime, forget it!Last edited: Sep 16, 2019
