I do. I just got to work now at 3:30. I'll drink coffee and pretrip until 4 and then I'm out the door until 2-4 in the morning.

Believe me... you run OTR. When you wake up. You'll have to figure out if it's night or day. All kinds of hours. Reefer delivers/picks up often in middle of the night. Places that open at midnight and close at 7am.
I didn't try. But imagine you could drive more at night if you want. You have some freedom to arrange drive time. But still gotta get there. No foolin' round. You definitely have more control and freedom than home daily driving.
I somehow always worked out rest. Sometimes would really push it. But always when got bad tired. I could pull over and sleep. Even if just for an hour. Then go three more before my 10. Things like that. A good company won't hassle you when you push it too far and have to rest. They can see it. (like a certain company I mentioned)farmerjohn64 and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -

You keep making me laugh.
When I talked to Stevens. First thing the recruiter said: "You're hired! Get down here right now!"
I've had Terminal Managers feed me such BS it was obscene.
If you talk to Tony at (a company I might have mentioned). He's different. In charge of driver relations also. The only recruiter. He reports only to the top boss. On the same level as other department heads. He'll have it out with them also. Doesn't like hiring people just to have them leave.farmerjohn64 Thanks this.
