I start orientation for Roehl in Ellenwood on 7/20/2009. To all who gave advice pro and con on both Roehl and Crete, thanks. I know the next couple of months will be busy as I plan on being a knowledge sponge. I know not every day will be bright and rosey but no job or company is. I do not job hop so Roehl will be my home for at least 3 or 4 years (in last 15 yrs I've only had 3 jobs). I am sure I'll be asking for advice as I am notreal knowledgable on truck mechanics. I'll post on this thread my progress for what it's worth.

Hey, Can anyone tell me what the upfront cost for Roehl training is? I know they offer for ya to pay it all up front, and also offer a "small down payment"..was wondering what the cheapest way to get started with them mightr be..TY

I found the best way for me was to get my CDL by attending a school locally (WIA paid for it). Be sure where you go is recogized by Roehl tho. This way you are not 'under contract' to the company should you decide for what ever reason to leave them. Also you can go to any company that accepts students.

I have a few questions about Roehl... I'm looking to join the company one day.. Whats the miles like now since things are slow, the pay starting out, fuel stops, the tractors, and running area... I have spoken to other drivers they seem like a good company to go with..
