There is no fuel pump shutoff switch on this truck. Only a keyed power to the ECM.
1LW wiring diagram attached. Pull off the 40 pin OEM connector on the ECM and check pin 6 which should be keyed power from the keyswitch. If there is power there with the key off, proceed back toward the cab.
Do you have an idle timer that is faulty? Unplug it to verify it isnt the cause. Let us know what you find, we can help you from there.

To everyone else that posted in this thread... Do you even think or just blurt out the first thing in your head without even knowing anything about the guys engine? All this talk of a fuel shutoff valve is a complete waste of time. Cant believe this is 2 pages already.

Pretty sure everybody was thinking turn the key off.....I mean come in it was a funny response.

But now we need to help the OP fix the issue, that’s what this forum is for.

I don’t have any suggestions but will be watching and reading until the issue is solved. I’m not a mechanic and the only way I learn is through my own experiences or others who share.

All of your gauges working as they should?

when engines were purely mechanical that was true, but now the ECM controls the fuel injectors so without power they won't run.

Sort of kind of why i asked if all of the gauges were working normally. Not really sure where I would be going with this but would surprise if the response was all of the gauges work normal.

Thanks! Yeah, I kinda gave up on this forum with all the "quick witted" old balls. Talked to about a half dozen peterbilt guys and the last one finally steered me in the right direction. There's a bulk of 3 relays with two connected behind the speedo, further back than the 4 bank of fuses with 3 connected, one controls power to the ecu, the other the fan iirc. I replaced both of them, and the truck shut off just fine. Now, my engine fan won't shut off with the dash switch. Maybe have to have a different type of relay for that one? Not to worried about it for now. Thanks guys.

Yeah, you guys are brilliant you know you tell the guy to shut the key off. Yeah I got the same problem. New #### shut the key off. Now where do we go from here you mental midgets. Everybody’s got a smart answer instead of helping somebody. You guys are probably the ones that #### and laugh at the new guy. Just trying to back in and having a bad time instead of getting out and help them. Dirtbags
