All you owners that had anything to do with PDI to get your delete kits, you may want to get your trucks back to stock. First Bully Dog was hit with massive fines last year, then Volkswagen, then Spartan, and now PDI. They are hitting the bigger shops with several small shops in between. They even fined mechanics at $5,000 for working on the trucks that had delete kits. I will add the links for more info below.
Also do note that Daimler sent a memo around today (which is how I learned of this and had to look the info up myself) that their new policy effective immediately is if a truck comes into the shop and after signing a waiver on the repair order that the emission system has not been tampered with, then they see that one has been tampered with, the work is supposed to stop right there and the customer is to be contacted to return the truck to stock or the owner is to pay for the work done and the truck is to be towed from the shop. Daimler is not taking a chance for the OE, the shops, or their technicians with the possibility of fines.
If you guys have delete kits on your trucks or these special tuners, you can expect shops to not repair your vehicles anymore, especially after today. The 2019 Clean Air Act, Vehicle and Engine Enforcement went into effect on January 1 and the subsection that allows not only penalties, but damages and going after mechanics for those same penalties went into effect September 1. The crackdown has begun.

Well, I think that Operation Backfire should be implemented.
Coop a members private list across the USA on fees. Understand what money is availible. Assemble a leadership, assign members to districts similar to Fed Reserve 7 districts;
Open shops. That are wholly private and similar to living history operations that preserve whatever that mnight be on the property itself at any given time.
If the People in the Nation are provided with quality work of any kind on the tractor trailers anywhere eventually with in 10 years or so you will have to make a decison.
Until trucks are explictly banned under very powerful simple laws written for example Here is a 1959 Ford Shoebox. It does not have seatbelts.
So the protection provided by the 1963 act of Congress therein saying that ALL cars built on or before 1963 are not to be forced to have seatbelts because is was OPTIONAL back then.
So that act and all the related acts will have to be struck down, repealed and so on.
When I worked on one of my cars that was eventually to be sold at auction. As a lemon, good for farm work only. If you want to put it on the interstate? Its your ### at risk in there not me.
The reason? Maryland would not issue a basic historic tags newer than a certain model year. The Use of Historic tags instantly bypassed ALL inspection, ALL medical lift, ALL emissions ALL and ALL and ALL. Especially the onerious inspection requiring you to restore a vehicle to factory conditions concourse as built.
Straight to the junk yard. Or hold on to it under your tarp in the back lawn until the Govt dreams up another lemons for junker rebate... -
