i tell you other trick. electric grease is a great cooling grease for high amp draws. like headlight bulbs. put some electric grease in the plug. it will keep the heat down on the plug end.

Since 2012 Cascadia is coming factory installed white plastic cover on Sam Cab. I would say rain gutter installed on electronic device ))))) It's funny. I always say many of Daimler's designers are brainless ########. They issued a service bulletin before installing that cover suggesting to replace windshield seal. After they saw even new seal will not stop the leak and they installed plastic cover )))))) New Cascadia leak too from windshield corners. Stupid seal design must be changed. Adhesive installed windshields never leaked and it would be smart to go back and use adhesive. Maybe one beautiful day they will get rid of that seal. At this time they still working to improve that seal. Part number changes are proof .

Most likely culprit is the cap or the marker lights. Check those too

Sounds like wire rubbing, but also try turning the master switch off for about 3 minutes. Put the fuse back in. Turn master switch back on.

Sometimes the chassis controller just needs to reboot. Kinda like a cable box at home.

do you know guys aftermarket windshields are not same. I mean the shape. Some of them leak because shape is little out of proper sizes. After installing many windshields I found that PGW (DOT 563) is the best. I mean leak is minimal. Dealers have Pilkington branded windshields. it's a good one but little expensive.

The 2018 Evolution doesn't have a cut out switch, something that did cause troubles, and seems to have been simplified elsewhere, as well.

Keep the steering wheel dry and clean, that has caused problems in the earlier ones.

2018 has only one sam module . centralized and far away from leaks.

You mean they learned from their mistakes?

Great radio reception, too, the early ones weren't good, but I don't have experience in other makes of the same vintages to compare them.
This is as good as anything I've ever run in that regard.

I can't say they have learned lessons from mistakes or not. but I can say 2018my truck has much better electronics, less failures and simplified. yes radio reception is better now, location of switches are changed, some trucks have batteries located between frame rail behind of slipper.

The batteries behind the sleeper would most likely be for EPU, all of the trucks I've looked at have had batteries under driver's side, and I've only noticed a few with the park smart option. Those had batteries like when there were fuel tanks from the front fenders back. Around the driveshaft.

You catch sulfating batteries sooner with them under the step. Soon enough to save them, maybe?

The trucks with concealed antennas have had good reception without fail, I've driven several from 2014 up. I noticed a walkie talkie CB(stock antenna) even worked noticeably better talking with security at the plant, I was unable to do that with the 2013.
