Don't some of the Communist states freak out about pistol-grip long guns? It's no trivial matter to swing an 18 inch barrel shotgun from inside a vehicle. And the Mossberg Shockwave isn't legal in several states, the usual suspects. I think it can't be shipped to 10 states, IIRC.

A metal tipped tire thumper is half the length of a softball bat and has a leather wrist strap. I think you can even use them to "thump" a tire. Way more convenient and way, way less suspicious than a baseball bat.

I used to carry one of these tire thumpers when I walked my dog in the neighborhood. The metal cap on it will open a face or scalp instantly. It would probably work on a stray dog or coyote.

I really think this gun obsession thing has gone way too far.
Or maybe, it is the paranoid thing.

You all seem so afraid of everything these days.

Where is the 'NO FEAR' attitude that also consumes a lot of people?
If you are not afraid of anything, why do you act like you are afraid of everything?

People are SO afraid of everything that they must use sanitizing lotion at every step, even when exiting a bathroom after washing their hands - and that dispenser is right there.
    Many other things as well.

NO FEAR means that you DO NOT fear, and so will take no defensive or offensive action.

I do not use sanitizing things. I do not carry weapons. I do not get flu shots or go to the doctor for tests to see what might be wrong. No shower shoes either.
I just live my life, day to day. One day at a time, and what will come will come.
    Que será, será
    Whatever will be, will be

    I do not fear.
    Because it is pointless.

Why did you write "weapons" in quotation mark?

NY is a big "no no" for out of state CCW. From what I was told by one of the drivers here, you definitely do not want to be caught ANYWHERE in NY carrying if you are not already a permitted/licensed CCW resident of NY. They don't play.

and that makes me Prey. No thanks.

Its funny in a way, I carried a 7 inch buck special in the drop bowie style which did everything I required of it. usually metal banded pallets or layers of shrink wrap otherwise tear my hands. It had it's own holster next tot he chain drive from when I was 20 all the way to 29 in the NE and everywhere else. Then it ride in the closet of the semi where I can get to it in a hurry. (At least once...)

Not a word from anyone up there. Even the J. Kennedy Airport then too.

If I tried that today I'll get pig piled and sent to the brig as the enemy of the state or something. /half snark.

There is a old tire thumper branded as such sitting in the corner. There is at least two souls who were in knot school administered by that thing a time or two. Im not going to go digging up all the old stories, some of which is offline. ive been both prey and predator with cause in my time. But those days are over. I am like seriously peaceful. And when you live in a area that does not require violence because society around you by and large is peaceful.. then you got it made.

The most dangerous moment here was when 4 gangsters from Houston hit a small drug pharmacy in one of the local towns. Two were captured in the glass of the doors they broke thru, lawman was there in 40 seconds at gunpoint.

The other two came out the back door. Thats where I came in late at night holstered and going over my truck. They were past and gone into a field to be surrounded by 4 counties worth of K9 and helicopters with thermal by noon the next day. They finally gave up when they realized they aint getting out of that without being seen.

Turns out they were hitting drug stores all over eastern Arkansas. and they were armed. That would have been a interesting situation if they closed in on me for my vehicle. Draw and hit one but not sure of the other. But either way... who knows. We will never see them for around oh.. 40 years. When they come out they will be elderly and in not much shape to be all that hellraising.

The very best thought I have for them? They have no idea this old man was so dangerous. and thats very good.

Exactly. But do you think their government cares if that makes you pray?
