What’s going on gents it’s been a smooth couple days for me. Can’t complain. @Texas_hwy_287 thats good. I don’t know about the city pay other than the hourly pay. And I also don’t know if every terminal is different but do they pay you for stop pay as well? Or is it just hourly rate? I never thought about it or cared to asked since I had no interest of going P&D.

@88 Alpha The first week will feel like you haven’t accomplished nothing so it’s free money lol. Just kidding. I can’t remember if you said it or not. Did you land P&D, Dedicated or linehaul? Also do you plan on getting into linehaul or teams within the company or just sticking to the P&D or Dedicated side. If you have any questions about the process let me know. And being that you are at the Dothan terminal just a heads up that’s one of the best terminals in the company to be a linehaul driver. The average bid driver on linehaul is like 500 miles if I’m not mistaken. That’s what one of the drivers told me. But I may be routed through there this week sometime. Having some issues with Qualcomm but we shall see stay safe guys.

 

10-4 so they don’t give y’all stop pay man that sucks. I would at least think they would give you that since there is no overtime pay here at the company.

 

Well by god. Where are you located? Lol my terminal we don’t have overtime. It’s all straight time.

 

Oh ok. Sounds like you guys have a good terminal manager. I think any company success or failure is based on its terminal manager.

 

Hey the most important thing is you found something that fits you and your family needs. The pay is decent otherwise you wouldn’t have accepted the job. Wifey is happy because she wanted you home more and you got it and the job is close to your house. Sounds like a win win situation to me. Every LTL company sort operates the same and pays the same almost. Some pays a little more some pay a little less. Just depends but I’m glad you found something and we wish you the best of luck. It’s funny how things work out.

I had the same thing happen to me. I applied to Estes and went in for the interview and haven’t heard anything for like two weeks and when I called they said if there is an update they will email with an status. So AAA Cooper needed an answer and I have them an answer and here I am. I’m sitting in Orientation and Estes called and asked if I could come for next process and I told them it took them two weeks to figure that out. I’ve already started employment elsewhere. Thanks but no thanks. Some of these employers take forever and think we just sitting around waiting for their phone call. Bills can’t wait.
