    IIRC that’s what “ABF” always stood for, until recently they started adding the word “freight” on the end for whatever silly reason.

    Only way I can see that happening is if he was using the aerators and one of the “pads” inside the hopper has a hole in it or something. I’m not an expert on aerator usage, we never use ours for sand. Or anything else really. I’ve never come across anything I couldn’t unload with top air.

    We’ve had to replace locked up blowers full of sand. It’s caused by a combination of things. The check valve in the hot line went bad or stuck open, and then the operator plugged up the line, panicked and shut the blower off while there’s still pressure in the tank.
