Figure it this way: you make a 2" wheel error and your wagon goes astray in about ten feet. Short trailer, you make a 2" wheel error and it's immediately in the neighbor's yard.[/quote]

hahaha, soooooo truuu fox.. all i pulled were 53's and then at the yard one time i had to move a pup... haha, took me 34 mins, as it was timed by one of the shop guys in who got a great laugh out of me trying over and over to back er in hahaha

It is good to hear that a small trailer is more difficult. And your vote of confidence is appreciated.

Dance - thanks for the list of myths.

    Soon2b,
Do you have any information about the company dirvers running flats for WS? I was thinking about going to WS to run flats after this years harvest contract is done......any feedback would be great.

Thanks, this has been a great thread to follow.

now nawlins, how do u o theres a waiting list on flats? u dont leave the ne??
ill check it out for you, but i no a few weeks ago 2 of them quit, and i couldnt see why they wouldnt hire you on, altho, you are required to pull vans for 90 day first, unless your pullin flats now?
anyhow, i no the flatbed drivers do pretty darn good, and nawlins is right, read back a few pages and find the mr million driver post, i forget the user name, just look for the conflicting words between myself nawlins and frmrdslmr or something like that,
even give them a call and see what they say

    Kyber Thanks this.

    Isn't sunny Florida wonderful? :biggrin_25525:

Especially when it has so many cheap companies paying well below market value for truck services. That virtually insures no trucks will be cluttering the landscape. It also insures there will be few if any companies willing to take freight into the state.

Thus they don't like hiring from Florida. They lose money every time the driver goes home.
