So we
So we got both hoses on the main tank plugged off.. still leaking what's in the main tank of course but is that gonna be ok to drive? Is it going to only use the 2nd tank or how's that work? -
I just need to get it to stop long enough to dry jb weld it or use some flexi seal or some #### to seal the leak

It should be ok, like get you from point A to point B. But probably not ok to cross the scales with until you stop the leaking entirely.
Make sure you clean it really good before putting JB weld or epoxy on it, or it might have trouble sticking.CDL CPL Thanks this. -
Will only use fuel from the tank without the plugged lines. You could leave the large line hooked up and it will transfer fuel to the other tank because there is only return fuel to the other tank. That takes a while. If you run it untel that tank runs dry the engine will shut off.
Being as it is a very small leak you need to contain it. Only drive to a safe isolated spot and handle the situation safely. You do not want to polute the world or have fuel cause an accident.
Marine puddy in a tube you kneed together might work but best to just transferr fuel to other tank.CDL CPL Thanks this. -
If you got the correct hoses plugged, then the fuel pump will only draw off the other tank, and only return to the other tank... BUT ONLY IF YOU GOT THE CORRECT HOSES PLUGGED.CDL CPL and BoxCarKidd Thank this.

There are 2 black hoses and 1 blue hose (which goes to the other tank)
We got the 2 black hoses plugged. Are these the right hoses? I don't think there is anymore on there.. Is it ok to drive like that? -
Sounds right... The blue hose should be plugged on one end as well if all it does is connect the 2 tanks... If it is left open fuel from BOTH TANKS will be leaking out of the hole in the main tank..CDL CPL Thanks this.

If we plug the blue hose how will it get any fuel from that second tank? That's the only hose on that tank
The truck is off at the moment so it shouldn't be sucking fuel from anywhere
