Schneider Technology WTF?

Wow, that sucks, but will they let you use your own GPS?

 

I just got pulled in Tuesday for them to install new eld. The same thing happened to me Monday when I clocked out for my State meal break. That was the first time that happened to me. My Dbl told me the new tablet should fix that problem. I'm guessing that is a problem they came across often. I'm a California driver so I have stricter break rules. The tablet is more responsive now but the navigation dispatch still takes forever. They also took away the 10 minute state rest on activity tab.

 

The Qualcom was an aobr. The tablet has an eld.

How did the HOS "wipe out your 30 minute break"?

I used to be in IT. Issues are unavoidable during migrations. The fact is that if its running on computer code, its not the exact science that you may otherwise expect. In the long run, the issues get resolved. In the short term, stuff doesn't work as intended. Such is life.

If you always blame the technology, you are exempting the one area in which you can actually exert some control (how you use it).

 

I know the Samsara will sometimes kick you back 'On Duty" within the first minute of your 30 min break. I have had this happen a couple times with different trucks.

 

Some company's (like where I work), are too cheap to have their systems be satilite (or cloud) based, but instead have them 'cell' based.
