Hey all, Tom from NJ. I'm a married man and soon to be father. Currently work as a public school employee but have had a dream of trucking my whole life. Coming up on 40 and I'm considering making the jump. Have had my CDL for awhile and have towing and school bus experience, but no TT. Weighing options as to which way to go and what will be best. This forum is great and I hope to learn a lot.

Abilene Motor Express will probably hire you right now. This company has hired drivers that have been off the road for 20 yrs., but kept their cdl.
Call and have a chat.

Thanks for the advice. I'm not looking to go OTR, would like to stay local and be an owner operator at some point and run local. It's a position that's out there, I just have to find the right company.
Also thanks for the well wishes. We're excited for sure! -
