    Hi all,

    I just got my CDL with manual transmission yesterday. I am out of the Dallas area with clean MVR and Clean background. I want to avoid pitfalls of getting started with the wrong company on the wrong foot. I want to leverage the vast network of this forum to find the right company that will train me well and optimally pays well from the beginning. My aspiration is to get good at driving and become an owner-operator as soon as I know what I am doing. Thank you in advance for pointing me in the right direction and help me avoid dishonest sharks in this business.

    Just remember different people think different thoughts on same company. whatever u go with make sure you stay a year then you can pick & choose if not happy.

    @Chinatown I applied for Frymiller, Shuster, IWX, and DOT the other ones get bad reviews on Indeed and Glassdoor. Thank you very much.

    Magnum LTD is just about as good of a reefer starter company as you will find and they hire in your area. Might be worth checking them out.

    I agree......showing you will/can stay out enjoying life is a big part.
    FM love it if you keep going, show you're drvoted.
    Myself, I don't eat truck stop food much at all. You gotta keep those live green smoothies into your system. Buy Garden of Life greens and add them to low sugar anything--- yogurt,applesauce,.....etc.
    You are what you eat...lol.
    It's amazing what freeze dried greens can do for a great attitude, energy.
    Avoid starches as much as possible. The liver makes them into sugar in body!!

    That looks like a good company but they want two years of driving experience. I will call them tomorrow to see if they hire new graduates.
