I have stated in another post that i have been driving back and forth between Ontario and BC hauling cars. I use a F350 with a double stack 5 car trailer. My truck has non commercial sticker. Question 1 do i even need to enter a weigh scale? Is so then why do they not come after me? Reason i say thos is because a year ago when i started hauling cars like this i accidentally blew past a station with its lights flashing, i thought oh cr.ap... but they never went after me and so from then on i thought i never had to. Am i just really lucky?
A little confused

Do you feel lucky?
Well, do ya punk?!
If you don't want instant answers from the peanut gallery you could always go to the source.
Pull in to a weigh station and park it.
Go inside and ask the people that actually will answer your question.D.Tibbitt, Numb, lovesthedrive and 4 others Thank this. -
Half tempted to ask how in world did you get that sticker. You bought those cars to resell right? So it's your personal property. However you are still a dealer. So... I dont know. You make money indirectly from those cars.
Now if people paid you to haul cars here to there and everywhere then you are commercial.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
You're just lucky. Pull in.

If your hauling anything to make money (no I dont know canadian laws). You are supposed to pull in.
I was pulling my steam locomotive and the lights were on. It was only for personal use. I had to ask as I had a CDL. The police said the above to me.

I don't know Canadian laws and regulations. But here in the states.
First, I'm confused about your sticker. Unless these are race cars you own or something of this nature, I feel something may be shady. Correct me please.
Next, if not personal property, I've hauled dealer cars in many different configurations of equipment. None had your sticker, all were required to follow all rules and regulations.
Lastly, I can't remember ever a time seeing a Nascar truck in a scale. Best advise has already been given to you. Go talk to scale master. -
Sounds like something @not4hire might be able to explain. He's a guru when it comes to the regulations here in the Great White North eh!
not4hire and lovesthedrive Thank this. -
Forget about buying any lottery tickets... you've used up all your luck.
Yes, you're violating several laws; you should have commercial registration and insurance and be running a log book. Ontario and BC are the strictest jurisdictions in Canada and just because you haven't been caught doesn't mean they won't crucify you if you do... which could very well happen if you do enter a scale without everything in order.Intothesunset and lovesthedrive Thank this. -
