Have you thought that maybe a person has a CPAP machine or has medication that needs to be refridgerated or another medical reason that is required for them to idle and their truck doesn't have an APU.D.Tibbitt, Concorde, homeskillet and 7 others Thank this.

take it easy, tough guys. i wasn't gonna actualy do it. it just made me smile thinking about it. i just think it's really inconsiderate to idle your truck and be that annoying when you clearly have something wrong with your dryer. especially when the weather is so nice. i don't mind reefers making noise, or even a loud exhaust on an idling truck, but a fricken dryer non stop is bull$hit. would that damage electronics? i saw a truck die pulling out of a dock somewhere once and he eventually found it was a loose terminal. he just tightened it up and drove away no problems.
truckdriver31, Tb0n3 and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
to YOU the weather was so nice.
some people need the a/c, no matter the outside temps.
some people need the slight rocking motion at idle, to fall asleep
some people need the droning noise of an idling engine to fall asleep.
like some have stated, if it bothered YOU, then YOU should have moved.
or nosed in, or gotten there earlier to park in the back row, whatever.
what one (or a million do) with thier truck engines is THEIR BUSINESS, not yours, unless you WERE the owner of these trucks, and had a no idling policy and had APU's installed.
otherwise, to complain about it here where a high percentage of drivers find comfort in many different ways when parked for thier 10 or 34, is really of no concern to you.....ky waldo, homeskillet and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
