I just looked the company. Sounds and looks like just another OTR junk company. I don't know how you folks do it?

What was so unappealing in your mind about National Express Carriers? They're equipment looks nice..... that's very enough to get me to call and pick their brain at the very least

Name any OTR company and I’ll find you a reason to call them junk. So what’s your point?

Just cause they have nice equipment don’t mean jack! I had rather drive a day cab with spring ride that has great benefits and pay plus home time than drive a nice truck with nothing else

    FlaSwampRat and jon69 Thank this.

Now that I am thinking about it, it should mean jack. I like to go to work for a company that maintains their stuff. Doesnt have to be brand new just nice and DOT ready

    FlaSwampRat Thanks this.

I had met a guy w 29 yrs OTR experience and between he and I they would give us 5000 miles minimum and 80 cents a mile. Sounded good at the time. My teammate Richard skipped out when he heard about $2500 escrow each of us and $25 ELD safety fee along with occupational acident insurance $185 a month.

I stayed on at 60 cents per mile dry van before moving to $1700 per week Reefer unit. Then they took me off of reefer and lowered the dry van rate to 55 cents.

So .... looking for a new company.

Thanks for following up on the hit job...
Your complaint sounds legit, and most of us would probably be inclined to believe you based on the reputations of these types of companies... You won't get much sympathy, though. It's a hard lesson. In the future, if your 29 yr OTR friend says it's a bad deal, you should probably listen.

    FlaSwampRat Thanks this.

    Um .... yep.
But in my favor ... I now have almost 2 year's experience.

Y E S .... the experience has cost me and I should have thought better of it before committing.
