I'm required to wear a cpap 4 hours a day even on my days off. There's nothing wrong with me I have no difficulty sleeping or staying awake while I'm driving. Anybody besides me think this a scam? Anybody besides me think somebody lied about sleep apnea to sell CPAPs? My cpap is doing absolutely nothing to help anybody stay safe it's just a completely unnecessary inconvenience. Major inconvenience. We need to start protesting or start a petition to get the government & trucking companies to rethink their cpap policies. Anybody know a way to cheat a sleep apnea test?

Check these two websites; one is for CPAP discount supplies and the other is for a CPAP that can't be seen and isn't worn to sleep in and is FDA approved.
    www.rpmhst.com
    www.inspiresleep.com

    Is Inspire DOT approved?
Like CPAP, an Inspire doctor can print out a usage record of Inspire to show the medical examiner that you are using your prescribed sleep apnea treatment. By proving compliance, there should be no issues renewing your commercial driver’s license.

If you have to cheat on the test you do have a sleep apnea.
If you think the test was wrong get tested again at a different place.

Got tested twice. I got sleep apnea but it has no adverse effect on my ability to sleep on break or stay awake driving. Sleep apnea is not the problem cpap is a problem.

Tell that to the people that got killed by a driver asleep at the wheel. Who then used undiagnosed sleep apnea as a defense.

Never said nobody is adversely affected by sleep apnea I said I'm not adversely affected by it cause I'm not. I don't need a cpap. Doctor said it won't help if ur awake using it. I never sleep with it. I'm wide awake 4 hours with cpap then take it off & sleep.

I have one and not sure how bad your test said it was. They have sleep apnea scale they use 6 AHI is low and like 30+ AHI is severe. Some people can be up pass 90+ AHI if some stops breathing for 10 seconds or more that's 1 AHI or Event. People need to learn how to breath again or relaxe, if they get on a CPAP and breathing normally again.

If the air is dry or cold from the CPAP you can get heated air hose and turn on humidity. It not easy when you first use CPAP to sleep. You CPAP hopefully has a screen and it shows you AHI or Events when you stop using it every time. So even if you not sleeping yet just practice wearing for 4 hours.

It's possible you pressure setting is wrong but you probably have automatic adjusting CPAP. That why it nice to know you AHI numbers. The more you use CPAP and sleep you should see your number going down to 5 or less. That how you know if it helping. It's also possible if you did not get good sleep lab you could need a BiPAP. That's a CPAP with 2 pressure setting one to breath in and a different one to breath out. See the if you can sleep and get some numbers to how good it's helping or not. It takes time

If you have to use it 4 hours a day and you can’t sleep with it then use it for 4 hours when driving.
May sound stupid, but can’t think of any other way around it.

For those that need it cpap makes a big difference and can save your life in the long run. I used to have to take two naps a day but after using a cpap didnt need any more naps. Untreated Sleep apena can cause heart problems, depression, erection problems, etc. Been using one for over 10 years now. Cant sleep without it.
