Well I was somewhat productive today. Went to the gym, and came home and swapped out my hard start kit and bad run capacitor with a new run cap and the 5/2/1.

Swapped the new and mounted the 5/2/1. It dropped my amp draw down like it’s supposed to.

Didnt get shocked so it was a pretty good day.

I had a hot rod gruman service truck once.
Couple things if your gonna do the project. I would say just have them replace Distributor with a quality aftermarket. If the q-jet carb has some miles pitch it for a Carter 600 AFB. Finding a person to rebuilt a Qjet properly is next to impossible. The Carter is a simple reliable carb perfect for a work truck. If your not concerned with being original. I also vote to just by new exhaust manifolds or headers. Which ever you choose. -

I ran with this broken injector rocker for over a week ! Funny thing is I think it ran and pulled better on 5 cylinders than it does on 6......go figure ! I got lucky it didn't do any other damage ! Not even a mark on the tappet of the injector.

I like the AFB Carters.......I can make a quadra bog do that deal though

.90 stuff better only take up 8 ft and be under 10k. I set a lofty goal for $ all miles this trip, and not gonna hit it with a ftl.
