Sounds like my problem. I've got a load on the trailer (thankfully) but was stuck yesterday with only 6 hours left on my 70. So I had two choices, take a reset in Fort St. John and leave Monday morning and make delivery for Tuesday, or drive today to Edmonton (and maybe make it, only 6 hours away), wait for 7 hours of recaps on Monday and deliver Monday afternoon with only 13.5 hours coming back on Tuesday.
The storm in southern Alberta made my decision for me though. Apparently they are getting slammed.

Several years back, Navajo decided to tear the cow hauling world apart. They went and bought, BIL said, a 100 brand new pots. I was down south loading some feeders and BIL calls me and tells me a Navajo truck was loading some fats where he was at and didn't know sh.t about how to load. He said he went over there to help, but they told him they would get it figured out. So he told them how many in the nose, how many on top, how many in the bottom, and how many in the back. Said they still had no clue, and he left. Big boys at Navajo didn't know, I guess, cattle hauling is a who you know business and not a what you know business. They didn't last long.

It’s that time of the year again. 5 second places yesterday. Pretty proud of my girl. She says to me last night, we’ll do better next week Dad. Lol
Al. Roper, pushbroom, IH Truck Guy and 25 others Thank this. -
As a Canadian who likes his coffee as strong as can be and black as night, at least SB can brew a pot of coffee right down in the US, lol. Not too many truck stops can brew it strong enough for me. Flying J "Intense" is still weak as hell.
Now Simonson in Grand Forks, THEY CAN DO IT RIGHT. Must get a lot of Canadian drivers in there, haha. Their 100% Colombian is one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had south of the border. -
Pretty much how I see it.

Well that man knew how to build a Holley. Back a few years and doing the racing thing for a buddy. We had a 500cfm carb limit. No other engine limit. Except no power adders. I can say a 406 SBC and a good fuel system on alcohol and a 4412 would supply more than enough. With some creative engineering. -
Ever try Kicking Horse Coffee? Pretty good stuff.
Happen to get a good look at Mount Robson on the way back? Best view is eastbound and this time of year the clouds obscure it a lot unfortunately. Probably my favourite landmark on the trip into Alberta. -
Got a pretty good view headed west going into BC before the Sun set, pictures turned out terrible, but I went straight north out of Prince George up the 97 after my first drop so no dice.
There were a couple Yukon mountains up on the YT-1 that dwarf Robson though, just saying. You drive right along them at the base pretty much, and they loom over the highway. Couldn't really grab pics since they were out the passenger side window and my way in it was dark and I didn't even see them.
Edit: And yes, Kicking Horse is great, but freaking expensive. -
I haven't been up that way since I was very young. I always turn left off 16 and head south on 5 to Kamloops.
