If my understanding is correct, and it may not be, you should be able to use yard move to get to the fuel island. However once you get there, you will have to show an additional 7 minutes for pre-trip.
Logging out is definitely important when you get home. All it will take is a mechanic pulling your truck in the shop and your reset is kaput because there is no way to get rid of the drive time. That's my biggest issue. People aren't robots, they make mistakes. Someone is going to come in after being on the road, forget to log out, and then someone is going to move their truck and forget to make sure nobody is logged in. In my opinion, not having the ability to correct that is ridiculous.

Today I picked up my travel order at a terminal. I had already logged my post trip and went off duty. Then logged off-duty driving to go 100 yards to park so I could take my 10 hour break. How silly. Hopefully I did that right. Who else is having a blast doing 3mph from your truck stop parking spot to the fuel island in the morning?
If we just took a 10 hour break, we are to use yard move to go from our parking spot to the fuel island? Doesn't that start our clock for the day? What if I find a flat tire or something? Then I just wasted like 4 hours. I like to look around the truck while I fuel in case it's dark out or pouring rain. Going on duty once confirming there are no issues first is the best move IMO.Last edited: Sep 28, 2019

Right, but assigning it to another driver does not fix the issue that there was no actual drive time for anyone involved.
Another thing I noticed is that when you reassign drive time to another driver, it automatically makes the driver you moved it from the co-driver. It may well be something I did wrong, but I'm not sure. -
We have an "repair" driver that we switch it to if it was in a shop, with a repair order to back it up. In the yard we switch it to whoever was working in our shop at that time. Nothing you can do about moving to get fuel ect.

WOW...I DID IT! This morning I did post trip/fuel and crept 3-4 MPH to a parking spot in Elkton, MD Flying J. All I need now is some driving gloves and some of them, 'flip flops' and maybe, I can become a real driver? Or, do I need to take a 30 minute break at the fuel island? Honestly, that 3-4 MPH did suck! lmao
