Here's a job in Wilmington and maybe will cut some slack for a retired military guy.
Usually want 6 mos. experience, but probably work with you if you have a cdl from school.

Trillium Staffing probably can find what you want.
This is a staffing agency that places truck drivers in jobs they want.
This is a high quality company with a good reputation and has helped thousands of truckers find what they want.

I can also say they do a good job. I have a buddy that only likes to work a few months a year and uses them. They will hook him up with a good 3-4 month gig at a time.

Marine here, or was many many many years ago.

To any new trucker I would suggest a good resume. In your case, one that highlights your years of driving in the military. By "good resume" I mean one that stretches the truth so as to allow you to get your foot in the door at a good company. ;-) It's the old "you can't get hired until you have the experience and you can't get the experience until you're hired." There are exceptions, of course.

Sorry, but I don't know much about your area in particular. However, @Chinatown is a fantastic resource well worth a listen--except for the stuff he gets off of Fox. ;-) lol
