No, what I'm most worried about is keeping my truck straight and rubber side down. The thing about hauling peanuts is that they shift like nobody's business, which lends to all sorts of nasty behaviors we don't want to see from our trailers

We all haul stuff that can shift. I wonder if u really want to drive & be a safe driver. If u do get a job & be a safe dependable driver. Best of luck to you.

You don't know that. You don't know anything. I told you two weeks ago to pull your DriverFacts report, or TrueWork, or whatever service they are using now and find out exactly what Swift is saying about you. If you had done it then you would have the report in hand by now. Swift does not talk to prospective employers wanting references. They just point them to a service that provides a standardized report. You can get a copy of that report yourself. It was the first thing I did when I left Swift.

When I left my report was just a form with four things on it. It had start and stop dates, whether I had failed any drug tests, a section for a list of accidents if any, and a field labeled "Eligible for Rehire", which in my case simply said "upon review".

You are freaking out about how no one is going to hire you and you don't even know what your reference says. It probably doesn't say much.

I did, and I don't know what to think at this stage. I pulled my HireRight, and there was nothing. I pulled my MVR, and there was nothing since before I entered Swift's employment. Out of a mix of stupidity, confusion and frustration, I pulled my PSP, and there was nothing. And yet, I've had prospective employers find what what I know should've been on at least one of the reports I pulled, so I'm basically left with "these folks must know something I don't," which is about where I start planning for the worst. This is definitely one situation where I'd be relieved to find out that I'm wrong

Google "Swift Employment Verification". Looks like they might be using TrueWork now, but check DriverFacts as well since they still list Swift as a client on their website. They haven't used HireRight (DAC) since before I worked there.

Looks like the ContactUs page on SwiftTrans.com still has a link to DriverFacts under Employment Verification, so go there.

That your MVR and PSP reports are clean is very good.

Am a bit confused...interviews for days? Going to shake hands over an offer?

It’s all so easily done over the phone after filling out an online application.

Yeah, except that every single ####### business in this god forsaken town wants to see you face to face after they call you, and then the transportation manager needs a week to make a decision, and oh, yeah. HAVE I MENTIONED I'M NOT DRIVING FOR ANOTHER MEGA IF I HAVE A CHOICE? I'll start running the list of megas again ONLY if nothing else pans out. Sorry that I'm not so eager to just be a number again so soon after experiencing how numbers are treated in this industry. And I'd rather be within taxi range of my 4 wheeler in case the unthinkable happens, so that I can just go home without a fraction of the stress this transition has produced. You'll have to forgive the guy who hasn't had one ####### thing go right without having to pay dearly for it in his life for being extra ####ing cautious in how to proceed
