Hi guys am thinking of buying a truck to haul cement, the legal gvw in my country is 56 tons and i have a choice of three trucks a 113 360, a 114 360 and a 124L 420. All are 6 by 2.
My main issue is reliability, tare weight and fuel consumption, i also have to change the truck's configuration to either a 8*2 or 8*4 since both are tractor units.
    I am in a dilemma :)

    Kindly advice.

Cement and 56 tons are not fuel saving. If you have to spin a drum all day or blow out powder into a silo... its not saving fuel.

We are limited to 40 here in the USA, when you get containers tipping at 60 ton and beyond there is no point in fuel savings. Ive totaled tractors towing these.

    You only need a 13L auto with a 4x2.......

    No more than 500hp/1850 torque.

That’s what has been drummed into my head anyways

    hello, i agree with x1heavy.

if you are going to buy 113 360 make sure it have 12+2c gearbox, not 8+1 (big gaps) or 10 (fragile, fast in 1st).
also most 113 have very fragile drive shafts and diferentials. 113 will be lightest truck of this ones.

114 360 have euro 1 engine same as 113 (never available in europe), but that is not nearly close for what you need for 56t.

does any have retarder, make sure it works.

since there is a big gap between years of this trucks make sure that you can still get parts for all of them, here sometimes happens that parts for older truck models are hard to get or very expensive.

    56t on 4axles? sounds crazy

Next we need to know if that 56 ton is metric ?
And will you pull a trailer or just 4 axles for that weight?
