Ok, so if I end up going to MTC driving school(Ohio location) , with being signed on with USX when school is completed. I will be doing DOT physical first day of school as well as drug screen. Does that satisfy my requirement with USX?

How long did it take you to get the hair test results with Us Express because they do it on a Sunday

For anyone considering going to US XPRESS, make sure that you have your stuff totally in order before you leave for orientation. This includes having emergency cash/credit just Incase you get sent home and a couple of pre-hires from other companies just in case things don’t work out. If you’re overweight, have high blood pressure, diabetes or other health issues, the odds of you not making it greatly increase. Have documentation for any medications that you’re on, if diabetic, have documentation on your last A1C reading. The Doctor/nurses at US Xpress are way stricter than your typical clinic. If you’re overweight and have a large neck, they’re going to question you about sleep apnea and may require you to get tested. I passed my test, but I came in with a 2 year medical card, but left with a 1 year medical card because their doctor wanted to monitor me a little closer. I was lucky though, at least 8 people out of my class of around 30 got sent back home, mostly for medical reasons.
In addition to the standard DOT Physical, you will be required to complete a physical standards test. You will have to lift and carry a 20lb crate and a 50lbs crate. Balance yourself on one foot and then switch, crawl underneath a table and climb onto a platform about the same height as a 53’ van trailer. And this is just for over the road drivers. If you sign up for a dedicated account like Dollar Tree/Dollar General where you will be unloading freight, they will also hook you up to what looks like EKG leads to monitor your heart rate, before-during-after your PT test. So, you better in really good shape. If your heart rate is too high, you will get turned down for dedicated accounts and sent to OTR. -
That's doing too much.
