So I just got some information for Schneider Intermodal pay for South El Monte, CA. It pays $12 an hour, $21 per load, $10 multi-stop, $42 for hazmat load.
Based on normal assumptions, you would work 11 hours and 3 loads a day, which translates to $195 per day. However I have a hunch that there would be a lot of multi-stop loads to keep that pay around $175 a day or so (which means about $15.50 per hour.)

I'd be more worried about burning my clock at the port, averaging most of the hours at the $12.00 /hr. I'm no intermodal guy, been around the ports hauling asphalt out of Toledo, and man, same trucks in line during my entrance and exit...often. You might want to also post this in the intermodal sub'thread. Just IMHO.

This intermodal is for BNSF rail yard in Los Angeles, CA, right over 710 Freeway. No wait time to check in. Sometime 30 min to 1 hour to check out (but rarely.) I’ve been working intermodal here for awhile. Just PSA about the pay package, for anyone interested.

I quitting Schneider like Sunday or Monday. I waited to get my signing bonus first and now using my vacation from Tues thru Saturday. And I'm thinking come back Sunday and quit quietly when 1 lower ranking person is working the office. But would that not qualify as returning to work following PTO? Schneider has a policy you must be at work actively your last day to get paid vacation. Or should I just go on duty but change my Nat to Tues and turn in my truck to the maintenance shop for check engine light on. That should qualify me as returned from vacation but waiting at the OC for repairs.... Hmmm any suggestions on how to do this? I just don't want them scamming me out of my vacation pay I will be taking
