Own authority

    Im in Charleston sc lease to a company pulling containers im thinking about getting my own authority how would i go about getting container loads,and can i make a higher percentage than 72%

    You need connections that will agree to give you their freight, set up your insurance thru the UIIA and get steamship lines to approve thru UIIA to interchange with your company...then have the required credentials to enter the terminal....sounds simple but it isn't.

    Like wis bang says-

    You need capacity too- Steamship lines are very busy people too- Its hectic enough for them sending out their daily moves to every cartage company in north america.

    No offense- But a 1 truck guy will just be overlooked and not taken seriously/ They just doint have time for it.

    Getting setup and approved with the UIIA is the easy part
