Ehh I don’t know, blaming the dispatcher is a cop out. Most dispatchers only care about their schedule but it was always that way. We used to log off duty then load or unload then drive some more and do it again. Problem was if I was tired I went to bed wether dispatch liked it or not waaaay to many drivers would let dispatch “force” them to drive tired then have an accident. I’ve said this before, how someone a thousand miles away can force you to do anything is beyond me.

I meant health wise. Wasn't he sent for stents recently?

    That's what I've heard.

It like these rumours about the speed governor law. When I drove a 64 mph governed truck, I always wanted more speed. Gimme 70, 75, 80! I was always pushing hard to maximize miles per hour.

Now that I drive an ungoverned truck, I choose to run at 65, and don't care about dialing it back to let people by, or to dial it back if things are getting hairy because I can make up whatever little bit I lost later.

And which is the safer way to drive I wonder? I haven't felt stressed since starting at this new company when it comes to time, even in Chicago. It's like a pressure has lifted off me because my boss trusts me to do the right thing and doesn't feel like she needs to micromanage my every move.

I've also been finding out, tons of companies are removing governors from their trucks that they send to Ontario, because not a single fine for not having one has been held up in court. Border Chemical in Winnipeg fought the MTO more than once and won each time. Yet the owner of New Hope is not only refusing to give drivers higher top speeds, but he's been turning them back because of "fuel economy".

You should have been driving when JB Hunt had all their trucks governed as 55

Went through a bunch of training videos on the new truck dispatching software we're going to start using.

What a bunch of unnecessary, irritating nonsense. I suppose it's ok for larger branches in big cities, but us small backwater folk like things simple.

"Hey man, take this #### to this location"
