Ok Alaska makes sense. But I still have a hard time declaring that a 16k week. Because the next week you are getting 5k to run the 3,000 miles back to the US. In reality it's just back-to-back 10k weeks. Still isnt bad.
Alaska is one of the 2 remaining states that I haven't hit, and I would love to. It may just have to be a bike trip instead of work.

It depends on where you are coming from and going with the load. out of Seattle area, you just get 72 hours for your appointment time pulling a reefer, but I never went that route either. I have gotten some good paying hauls out of here, but have gone out empty probably half the time.
I always wanted to take a bike trip up, you pass through some of the very best scenery you will ever see coming through Canada, and in a truck I never took the time to really enjoy it. I have only driven it in a pickup, once and was even in a bigger hurry then. lol

Running back and forth was my favorite trucking for a long time, till to many people kept getting the rates dropped, there is still some good paying freight, but a guy can't do it steady, or at least I won't for the rates these days.

3 trips a week north, but I don't like to do 3, so usually just do 2 unless they talk me into it.

Hauling what? I actually own a house in eagle river Alaska which is about 30 minutes from anchorage. My wife and I plan to go back when she's done with nursing school but I have no idea what I'm going to do up there at the moment

What ever they send to the oilfield. I never even know what kind of trailer I am pulling until I go pick it up.
It can be reefer, van, flat, step stretch or even a lowboy, you never know.
The mod outfitis looking for oo's, you pull your own trailer and it needs to have a lift belly axle under i, 48 or 53 flat. They are on a pretty much mandatory 3 loads a week deal through the winter from what I gather.

So what company is it that you're working for? This is very interesting to me I've been looking at different places to lease onto anyways and I've already put in a few applications but I'm always looking for new info and places to check out I appreciate it.

I sent you a pm, but I actually work for a small outfit, that pretty much just hauls Lynden over flow.
