haha well that is a great idea, and one I suggested to the driver. Needless to say, when you have a driver that can't keep hold of the BOL to begin with, you are not going to get much in the way of longterm planning done. Good thing this new driver is doing an AWESOME job.

I'm sorry if I offended you. I was just stating a fact about the policies that my previous employers had. It was pretty simple no paperwork, no paycheck. It really wasn't my intention to make you feel foolish and if I did, I sincerely apoligize. I know how that feels, believe me.
Now, when it comes to wasting time and money, I should get an award for it. Most all of us have and I've always considered it as a lesson that I had to pay for. -
I'm at Griffin Industries in Union City TN. There's dead cows lying around the parking lot. Now I know what feathermeal is made of. It's pretty NASTY.
And that's not even the news. I just did my first 90 degree back in between two trucks and into a dark hole. My nerves are now officially shot.
Believe me I tried to avoid it... came in the gate and drove right past the spots so I could go around back and see how they were pulling forward through the bay. NOT! Closed off in the back. Went all the way around again and through the front gate again. All you have is truck noses on the left and a fence on the right. I sat there trying to wait it out until there weren't any trucks around the spot I was supposed to get into but Trucks kept coming up to the gate behind me and I'd have to circle all the way around again.
Finally they came out to get me saying enough was enough, put it in the hole already. So I set it up, and the setup wasn't bad. I looked in my mirror at a nightmare. I put my head out the window and confirmed that it was in fact a nightmare.
So I promptly got out of my truck and begged another trucker to back it in for me. NO CAN DO... insurance blah blah blah, but he'll help me in (and proceed to enjoy talking feces about me after lol).
Anyway I got it going pretty good but of course you can't straighten up in time before bending it beyond your hole. I did 2 pull ups that didn't improve anything, in fact made it worse. So now the guy goes from pointing one way or another to telling me which way to turn the wheel. FAILURE! Well that worked really well for the next pull up and by then I was less than a 45 so I managed to wriggle it out with a few more shots.
Anyway, I think I learned a lot on that one and broke a barrier (but no mirrors!). I had to do it eventually I suppose. And of course I learned I was right to completely avoid ever having to do this again.

The dead cows, pigs, or buffalo is a sight you will need to get used to. But the smell and the flys, I NEVER get used to.
Have you been to Tyson in Southwest City, AR yet? You'll love that place....NOT! Barely enough room to get into the load bays, 2 inches on each side, maybe. Yes its a pull through, but when you go to pull out, the building and all the contractors that park in front of it, makes it impossible to clear the building with the back of the trailer before you have to back up and re-adjust to make the corner.
When you pull into that place, the first thing you notice is all the chrome lug nut covers laying around, thats how close it is in there.
Hubby goes to a couple of places where backing is just a PITA. Eventually you will become an expert at it, toting a grain wagon around.

LOL hubby threw away his fly spray when he quit hauling cattle. I laughed my butt off when he said he wished he'd have kept it. LOL
Yeah, I've seen buffalo heads in piles at some places. The meal plants really give your senses the overload.
