    I drop trailers real low. I've always been paranoid about getting the pin stuck in front of the fifth wheel so I make sure I see the plate tip when it hits the front of the trailer. On our inbound side of the building they want the trailers nose down (why I don't know) and my cascadia is air ride so I dump the bags when I drop so the trailer is real low. Then the poor guys in spring ride trucks have to crank them up to get under them lol.

    The only people that drop them way up are green horns that don't know any better.

    You back up to one, and it's cranked up so high, it looks like a Patriot Missile Battery.

    I back up close, grease, back under slow about to where the pin is going to go in, then get out, and crank down for 45 minutes so I don't jump the 5th wheel.

    Smart man. Idiots at a box yard do that shizzle....and I have NO clue why.. 11k in the box? Begging for a pintle hook to ease my job?!?!? My eyes HURT at ot two 30... but. Just really, WHY?!?!?

    Old guy, many years driving, that will pre'trip the ef out of EVERY dang trailer. I've OOS'd a few.. loaded or not. So? I get 'detention' or 'layover' .. i don't know. Just NOT pullng b/s.
