I don't know. According to the ECM you may be on to something..... I tried to take the VIN to a local dealer but they wouldn't do it...(give me the information on the truck)

    That wouldn't thrill me.

MHC had a group of about 20 or 30 680s they were selling dirt cheap with engines like that awhile back.

I was going to get one, they sold fast. Like 200K miles on them.

To me it would have been worth the stretch.

Figured worst case, I'm in it for an in frame, dpf, and some other after treatment stuff.

Probably $20K worth if it went south.

The one box is the big ticket item. That's $10K to $12K but under a normal truck should make it to 850K to a million miles.

So figure all those idle hours the same as if it were driven for the life of the one box.

    9423-7007=2416h 2416h x 65mph = 157040 miles *best option*

If it's the Cummins Encore great. If it's the generic after market, it's worthless.

If you have some coin for possible big ticket after treatment early on repair, you'll be ok.

Possibly invest in the Cummins software so you can do your own diagnostic too.

    I have the APU though.

I'm not trying to sway you one way or the other, but I'd not even consider a modern truck without an apu.
