If I remember correctly they had you put the landing gear down and pull out from under the trailer.
Then, every single solitary driver had to come in and sit in that little room like after-school detention.
It was forbidden for anyone to be in their truck.
There was nowhere for bobtail parking.
Just sit on the hard seat for however many hours.
Maybe Sam's and Costco are the same?FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -
Did a good bit of nuclear hauling, and every nuclear plant had different strict security policies. At Hog Island,Va. plant, you pulled to the guard station, shut your truck off,got out and handed the guards your keys. They then escorted you to a jail like small room,no windows, nothing in there, and they locked you in there, while they searched your truck. When everything checked out, they finally let you out.
Was there one day picking up and oversize, and they gave this treatment to one of the drivers of my escort car. They fond some unmarked prescription bottles with pills in his car,and they called the police, left him locked up until the police got there. Ended up having to get a new escort sent in that day. -
Delivered to In-N-Out once, they had the same policy. Even made my co-driver get up and go inside.
