Apparently salesman misinformed you on engine.

 

Yeah it looks that way. I was supposed to fly out to Dallas this morning and take a closer look at it......

Just because the salesman didn't know the engine was replaced doesn't mean too much. Salesmen aren't the brightest anyway. Still gotta look the truck over or get a different shop to inspect it to judge how good the truck is.

 

Yes I realize that, and I guess that can also be a good thing as far as engine replacement.
It just would've been nice to know. The Cummins guy told me to come in around 3 this afternoon. But im gonna have to wait until tomorrow to get the ECM info.

 

@pushbroom. Can you look up a Detroit engine serial number?

 

Nope. Cat/cummins/paccar only

 

They swear its original engine.....Im still getting a KW.... im just gonna go the Glider route....so I can stay with something I know..a Detroit.
