Ok winter is coming which means a lot of chaining. So, what's the best tool to hook the chain rails so you can 'stretch' them far enough to hook? The T handle tool works a bit better than 'tire iron' type tool but there's got to be a better way.

Whats the problem? Not enough leverage.

You can try using sleeves on the T handle bars to extend them some. Odds are with too much leverage you will just snap the tip off in the chain and face plant into to rim.

Keep them tight while wrapping and don't have brand new tires

They make mini/small lever binders, that might work.

But, I think your chains are too small if they are that hard to hook together.

I bought a "super chain tool" from Jubitz a while ago.

Awesome leverage for tightening the cams but it was around $50...

LOL, I chain sometimes multiple times a day, and have never tried to stretch a chain yet.
I hate and will not even carry those chains with the cams that you even use one of those tool in, I use chains that fit and a couple of bungees on them.

Shouldn't even need bungees if you got a good set of Trygg triples. Get 'em on there snug and they ain't coming off.
