Went to J.B. Hunt's Chicago terminal about 3 years back, was there no more than 2 hours after orientation started before they booted me without giving me a legit reason. Here is what they told me when i called someone who does business with them:
I have to take a Substance Abuse Program (S.A.P.) BEFORE they will even think of rehiring me.
I do not have months on end to complete this when i am more than capable of working this very second. C.R. England put a "refused post accident drug screen" on my DAC, did not refuse it due to the fact that the companies shuttle was packed with people, could not go to a nearby doctors office to get this taken care of.
J.B. Hunt may not rehire me, although i was in orientation for 2 hours, anyone have a suggestions on what to do?

If you have a drug test refusal, any carrier is required to have you complete a SAP first.
-
You screwed up obviously by refusing the drug test. That will stand out like a sore thumb with any company you try to hire on with in the future.
-
It was a screw up when i got into an accident, but the refused drug screen wasn't since i waited and waited for that darn shuttle. To add more insult to my misery, the "higher ups" kept calling me back into the building, so that dampered my chances of clearing my name.

Got an email about D.O.T. regulations, from what was said, i do have to take a drug treatment program, send a prospective employer a copy of it, then go from there. My luck cannot change for the better, now i can see why i have been out of a truck for the past 2 years.

Looked through this link and it clearly stated that I will have a hard time getting back into trucking IF i successfully complete this S.A.P., so i am swimming up that proverbial crap creek.

maybe not doing certain things would have been easier?
