How do you guys get your axle weights rite when you load? I have a gauge on my dash for the drives but the trailer is what I was wondering. Just add an air gauge somewhere on the trailer?

If it is air ride you can do that. Does it not have a box with a guage in it?

No I don't, I have a timpte it has a door on the front of the guage. I think I know the ones you are talking about.

For some reason he didn't get the fact that it was pointing straight back and if DOT would have pulled up behind him, they could see it, and with what we was hauling and the state we was in we didn't need any trouble. I don't know how many guys I see going up the road with an air gauge in plain view for DOT to see...
Big John Thanks this. -
Sounds like a cornhusker...they can have them on the side and the back, sometimes both.. I have a airline going from trailer to truck cab...as you said keeps from getting doused in grain and the dust.
I've gotten even lazier...Got a electric tarp opener, takes the strain off my shoulders. Summer never bothered me it was winter...those tarps were really hard to roll with ice or frost on them. -
Dang that is lazy, you don't even have to get out of the truck...LOL -
I didn't know flats had outside air guages. Learn something new every day.
Good for shoulders bad for waistline. Least got some exercise rolling tarp. -
I really dont understand why guys have them but they do? My dad was looking at a covered wagon that had an electric roll tarp on it, for what we do sometimes it would be a hassle. It would be easier but alot more expensive to put a conastoga on it.
I've always wanted to pull a hopper bottom but never had the opportunity, kindof glad now after what you guys have been saying.
