Speaking of food: A pickle sandwich would make me happy. My grandma makes the best and uses country crock butter. I am taking my airbrakes test tomorrow and my combo on monday.

I used to drive for Central...got into thier lease program...I loved it there...They are by far and away one of the best companies Ive ever driven for.Ive been driving for 22 years and have been with a few companys belive me they dont come any better,Id probably still be with them but family issues took priority... keep on truckin

 

NOthing at all was said about the thread. If fear of what is said on here controls what is said, then those of us who come on here wanting guidance and advice from the more experienced, would never get truthful answers. You guys would never be able to talk freely. Many responded to that guy who complained about how useless this thread was, that this thread was intended to give you guys a place to chat, vent, and discuss your issues, and that everyone on here gives honest and straight answers when questions were asked. Nevertheless, HE DID NOT MENTION THE THREAD OR NAMES OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT. The reason he was called by Central is because the companies he applied to called Central to verify his employment with Central. That is why Central called him, and not because of this thread. They wanted to know why he was leaving. They wanted to keep him and asked him what it would take to keep him. I really doubt that his dispatcher was ordered to starve him. Why would they call him to ask him what they can do to change his mind about leaving, if leaving was what they wanted him to do? What I was thanking those who gave me adivce was that because of that advice, he had the confidence to stay with Central and give a new F/M the chance to improve his miles. I guess one way to aliviate the paranoia is to think of it this way: Do we really believe that Central believes that every employee is happy 100% of the time and NEVER EVER vents? If Central were to retaliate against all the employees that vented, they wouldn't be left with very many drivers. I road with my partner for over 30 days, and I see how stressful the job can be on the road, in particular because of retarded car drivers who have no clue that the only reason why they are alive is due to your driving skills. That stress needs venting at times. Sometimes the best employees are the most vocal...lol, and they'll put up with them so long as they keep making them the money and have a good safety record. I am sure that Central is the business of making money. But to make sure I made myself clear - at NO time did he mention this thread, or names, or any thing of that nature when he talked to Central, nor was Central's call to him prompted due to this thread. RELAX...lol you can drop your p's and q's.

 

Screw Central. This company sucks. I hired on with Central in march of 2008. I live in Dallas and they sent me to Atlanta (not the Dallas office) for training. That should have been my first clue these guys were idiots. Things went ok for about a month. Then they fired my dispatcher and then they fired my next 4 dispatchers. All within 3 months. Each time I would sit for days with no load until they gave me my new dispatcher. When my first quartly safety bonus was due $800 they refused to pay me because the said " you needed 200 more miles to qualify" After those ######## kept firing my dispatchers and making me sit. I drove like 29,800 miles and I needed 30,000 I believe it was to qualify. They even pay you $100 each if you watch 3 videos. I did and they said that didnt count either because I was 200 miles short. Then while I was parked and out of my truck at a Central terminal another driver backed his trailer across the hood of my truck. 2 times I sent in photos and reported all the other drivers information. They said it would be his problem. After I quit a few months later it became my problem when they said ... Oh we cant find the pictures or any reports at all. What a bunch of liars. I even had Qualcomm messages saved from them about the incident. Still they seemed to have no knowledge of it and said I owed them $6,000. It was a bad paint scratch at the worst but somehow they needed to adjust the front end, replace the hood and a bunch of other things that I owe them for. Oh yeah, they kept my last check to help pay themselves back for it too. Then when I returned the truck to the Dallas terminal and had the mechanic go over the truck and sign off on it's spotless condition they said I better return it to Atlanta because they want to send it out from there or they were going to hit my dac report for abandoning the truck.
This company is the worst !!! If you read this and still work for them then you are stupid and deserve what you get.

 

Here we have a prime example of the fact that not every company is the right fit for every driver. I am sorry you had such a bad experience. Sounds like you really didn't give it enough time tho. I know we all have had our issues with Central but you have to work through them just like any job out in the world today. Again sorry you feel this way but not everyone has such a horrible time with Central. Good luck in what ever your next endouver may be!

 

Sorry you had such a bad time at Central as a lot of people have mentioned what is a good company for you might not be good for someone else!

So did you keep a copy of the pictures you took and a picture of the QC message?

I would have reminded them that all messages on the QC stay on there server even if it is gone of your QC.

So what exactly went on your DAC Report???????

BTW I'm sure that the people who work for Central RESENT being called stupid......Besides you are taking out your anger on the wrong people they work for Central and have nothing to do with management.

It would also be interesting to know did you complete your 12 month contract????? To pay for your school and if you didn't that might be another reason they kept your last pay

We all get on here and Vent at times, and even if he did mention jjranch told him to ask for a new FM its no problem to us.

JJ started this thread so we could help each other, answer questions and if Central don't like it then to bad!

I really believe that the heirachy have better things to do then read our thread .

If I'm peeved at something Central did then believe me I am gonna post it!
