Man, I so agree! What is it about letting others shape your decisions out of fear? With all due respect, halfburn, you didn't need to say anything about being scared, your reasoning said it for you. "What if" they guy comes after you. The only way that 'what if' makes any sense is from fear. Fear of being attacked; fear of being hassled, fear of wasting your time even.
Why run to the company or the law before talking to your neighbor first? Civility is desperately needed in our country. So is a sense of neighborhood. Most people are decent and will listen and want to please. Operate on that theory, not on the fear of what someone might do.

They are in New Jersey, not Nebraska. Mainly I'm just saying pick your fights. Especially with the economy people will be a little more edgy than normal.
A little something I found in my email this morning.
"The Threat Of Violence"
******************************************************
"Any man who is a man may not, in honor, submit to
threats of violence. But many men who are not cowards
are simply unprepared for acts of human savagery. They
have not thought about it (incredible as this may
appear to anyone who reads the papers or listens to
the news)and they just don't know what to do. When
they look right into the face of depravity and
violence they are astonished and confounded"

I've had neighbors who are truckers use the stub street 75yds from my house to park. Thankfully, none have ever done the prolonged idling - though one had a load leak that we had a HAZMAT crew come in to take care of. Seems the reefer unit quit, and all that meat in the trailer went bad.
We also had a car run into the house on the corner trying to avoid hitting a rig that was backing into the stub street - wasn't pretty.
If ya can't talk to this person, then maybe it's a person who needs "guidance from a higher authority"...like folks from his company or city officials/agents.
And while I do not advocate violence against others, I have no qualms aginst imparting such if I or my family are threatened.
If a person won't stand for something, he'll fall for anything. -
I do advocate violence against people who deserve it. A hazmat load for thawed out meat?
-
They apparently sprayed some bleach solution, and cautioned the local kids rubbernecking to avoid the puddles tha had accumulated behind the truck. -
Maybe bleach for the stink of rotten meat?

Just be respectful. If you spent 1/2 the time in talking with the driver that you have ranting on here then you would likely have a solution. But for those that are a little edgy I have a small arsenal at home and all vehicles have "Protection". No need to be apprehensive it is just a simple request from ONE MAN TO ANOTHER. All you are doing is asking. My 2c.
P.S. i know this thread is a little dated so if you have not achieved a resolution to your problem then move out because there is no hope. -
Its been 6 months !!
Perhaps the Pam driver just killed him, and disposed of the body !!!!! -
When I drove for P.A.M. I had to do a lot of idling for fear that the truck would not restart due to the faulty ignition system. This was a big headache for me with every International I drove.
