I came down off the gorge through the 8% grade national forest to deliver in dillard GA today. Glance at DAT just to see. 5th wheel freight is offering $1.54/mile to run a 48ft 46k load of 8ft tarped probably lumber, from sylva down to bay minette, nearly the shore of alabama. It actually pissed me off enough to post this.

SHAME ON YOU 5TH WHEEL FREIGHT. To even ask someone to unroll 8fters and haul that much load up out of these monster hills and down thru atlanta on a friday is low. Why dont you just cut to the chase and ask for a free ride.
