Yeah their food is great and they have a real good beer selection. Think thats my 4th or 5th time going and each time I've tried something different. And each time I've been thoroughly impressed with what I had.

Not sure how a cajun restaurant managed to settle into LaCrosse fn Wisc of all places but I'm glad it did lol

 

I've think I've seen billboards for either that one or something else in the upper midwest that pitched itself as "cajun." I'm always leery of these kind of places when they're out of their region. I once had a "cajun" burger in Maine. What was "cajun" about it? It had pico de gallo on it. I didn't even know pico de gallo was a cajun thing.

Good to know that this place is legit, though. Do they have shrimp and grits? I prefer the lowland Georgia shrimp and grits to the cajun style, but I like the cajun style too.

There's their website. Ive had the crawfish etoufee, 1 of the shrimp pastas, blackened catfish, gumbo, jambalaya and the blackened prime rib. My students have had a variety of things.

Everything I've had has been great.

At the 3 position chicken and sausage gumbo with peppers you can get gator.
At he 12 is red beans and rice
At the 9 is shrimp and crawfish with rice
At the 6 is shrimp and rice
Sweet cornbread and a glass that’s a quart size of sweet tea for $22.50

I'll have to stop there if I get the chance. I do like the Jennings truck stop on 1-10 in LA. Their restaurant is nice and Cajun!

 

Dadgum, y’all got me hangry now. On the way to GA in my 4wheeler to finish up my physical therapy. Should be released in 3 weeks. Got Hayti, MO bbq on my mind.
